Alyria is a water spirit, with a very sad story a bit like the story of the Celtic selkies. She is not dead, she is just very pale and always looks sort of dreamy and distant.

The expression is beautiful and she looks a little distant. Almost melancholy. The flowing pale hair just cements the fact how ethereal she is and you almost get the feeling that if she stood up, it would almost flow around her like a stream.
